Reds Club

Thursday Reds

Thursday Reds is every Thursday from 6pm to 7.30pm. It is held in the Holy Redeemer church hall on Churchmore Road  for children aged 5-11 years old.

Last term we had loads of fun together and did lots of different games and crafts. One week we heard about a story Jesus told about how precious his kingdom is and how brilliant it is to follow Jesus. In the story there was a man who discovered amazing treasure and sold everything he had to get it.

We had a drawing competion and the subject was ‘Treasure’. Everyone worked hard and all the pictures were creative, interesting and beautiful, but of course, there can only be one winner…

The winner was Kieran, who drew the amazing treasure map below, well done Kieran! We liked how you took time to make a really imaginative treasure island with rivers and cacti and even made the map look old and worn by painting it with tea.

At Thursday Reds we have only two rules which are Respect and Friendship.  All Children aged 5-11 years old are welcome to come regardless of whether or not  they are from Christian homes.  A typical evening will involve quizzes, craft activities, games (with prizes!) and a Bible talk.   New children who would like to come can simply turn up on the evening with their parent or carer.  Click here to download a flyer.
